FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us

Straight answers about foggy glass, sliding doors and what a repair involves.

Why are my windows foggy?

Most Florida windows use insulated glass: two panes sealed together with a gap between them. When that seal fails, outside moisture gets into the gap. The haze is inside the glass unit, which is why cleaning doesn’t help.

Can you replace just the glass and not the frame?

Yes, typically. We remove the failed glass unit and install a new one in your existing frame. It’s usually much more affordable than replacing the whole window.

Will I need another contractor to touch up after you?

No. We don’t touch anything outside the window pane itself, so your stucco, trim and paint stay as they are.

Will this affect energy efficiency?

Yes, for the better. A failed glass unit severely reduces insulation, so the window lets in far more heat. A new unit restores the window’s efficiency.

How do I know I need new sliding door rollers?

If your door is stiff to open or close, skips, or scrapes the track, the rollers are likely worn. We can replace them, and for an extra fee we can also sand and polish the track.
